4 Albums in 2 Hours! Bem Brasil #79 Rocks Hard!

It's Carnival time in Brazil, but we don't care! Here at BBR, we do Samba all year long...but not today!

 On today's show, we will be hearing four hard-hitting, hard rockin' and highly influential albums starting with Brasilia band Plebe Rude's 1985 debut album O Concreto Ja' Rachou. This album is ranked at #57 in Brazilian Rolling Stone's list of 100 greatest albums of all time!

Bem Brasil #76: Half The Show, All The Greatness!

Uh-oh, scheduling conflict! Today's  Bem Brasil with Will Crawford will be one hour short because your beloved host is such a great, on demand musician in the SF area and has a gig tonight. There just isn't enough of me for everybody! Don't blame me for being popular... Still, that doesn't mean it won't be a great show! We'll make the most of our time today by playing Raimundo Fagner's 1977 album  Orós. Named after the city where he grew up and arranged by Hermeto Pascoal, The album is a trip through Fagner's origins, utilizing northeastern Brazil's native musical sensibilities with special emphasis on Brazilian sounds. Then, we will round out the night with a 1970 ep from cult musician/actor Jards Macalé.
