We will start with João Donato‘s 1970′s record  “A Bad Donato” , whichcondenses funk, psychedelia, soul music, Afro-Cuban sounds and jazz fusion. A groovy, poisoned-sound dancing album, it is highly wired with  experimentalism and is considered one of the 100 best albums of all time by the Rolling Stone magazine.

4 for 14: Bem Brasil #72, Featuring Toquinho, Vinicius, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Miucha Airs Today!

Happy new year! For this year's first show, we will  reproduce  2013's first Bem Brasil with Will Crawford , whose original file was lost due to technical difficulties. This rare live show features an historic joint performance by Bossa nova giants Antônio Carlos Jobim and  Vinicius de Moraes, accompanied by the great guitarist/singer Toquinho and famed singer Miúcha, all performing their timeless songs in front of an enthralled italian audience! This 1978 show is also noted for being one of Vinicius' last international recordings before his death in 1980.

In the second hour, we enjoyed classic live tracks from various artists, including  Elis Regina, Maria Bethânia, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Jorge Benjor, Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil, João Bosco, Gal Costa and Djavan, among others.
