Remembering Jair Rodrigues: BBR #96 Airs This Sunday!

It's out 96th show and it feels like we haven't played any samba in a long time, so let's get to it! To kick things off, we will remember the talent and warm vocal s of the great Jair Rodrigues! One of the most popular and commercially successful samba/Bossa Nova interpreters in the '60s and '70s, he had his first radio experience in 1958 and began his recording career four years later, never leaving the spotlight until he passed away last May 8th, leaving a legacy of over 40 albums, including three recorded live with the great Elis Regina! 

In the second hour, we will hear classic tracks from many other Samba/Bossa Nova singers like Leny Andrade, Wilson Simonal, Beth Carvalho, and Johnny Alf. Whether you tune in live or download the program, this is a show you will not want to miss!
