Bem Brasil #83: The Legacy of Os Mutantes, Featuring Arnaldo Baptista Airs Today in Studio 1A!

Time to go into the way-back machine and dig up some long forgotten treasures! Today's show willl feature core Os Mutantes member Arnaldo Baptista's 1982 album Singin' Alone. On this album, we find Arnaldo returning to music after a long hiatus during which he went through a very rough period in his life. Baptista plays most of the instruments here and also sings in English on a considerable number of tracks. Tune in to hear this forgotten classic!

New Artist Time! Bem Brasil #82, Featuring Diana Pequeno Airs This Sunday!

If there's one thing our show can't be accused of is being repetitive. No two shows are ever completely alike and hardly a show goes by when a new artists isn't introduced.

Today's show is a great case in point, with our first hour being dedicated to Diana Pequeno's awesome 1978 debut. Highly influenced by American Folk music, This album features a great version of Bob Dylan's Blowin' in the Wind. Tune in to hear this singer's great voice cradled in some fantastic arrangements.

Son of the great  Luiz Gonzaga, Our featured artist had some some great shoes to fill when he decided to pursue the same line of work as his father, and yet, he did it beautifully, consistently and in his own way. 4 Albums in 2 Hours! Bem Brasil #79 Rocks Hard!

It's Carnival time in Brazil, but we don't care! Here at BBR, we do Samba all year long...but not today!

 On today's show, we will be hearing four hard-hitting, hard rockin' and highly influential albums starting with Brasilia band Plebe Rude's 1985 debut album O Concreto Ja' Rachou. This album is ranked at #57 in Brazilian Rolling Stone's list of 100 greatest albums of all time!
